I loved this movie, I went to see it with my aunt. But to be honest, I refuse to see it with my mom. After reading this article I think that one of the reasons why this movie was so funny was the extreme contrast of the genders. Alison is focused, beautiful and organized. While Ben is lazy, not attractive, and a complete scatter brain, they some how in the end make things work out. I believe that the scripted design of characters was intended for humor and truth, not to show how "straight arrow[ed]" women run their lives.
